About Us
Trusted Care with Proven Orthopedic Experience
Our primary provider, Jason Miller, brings seven years of dedicated orthopedic experience. This specialized background allows us to effectively diagnose and treat complex injuries—from tennis elbow to sports injuries—that many standard urgent care centers cannot handle. This expertise, supported by the vision of Dr. Stephen Larson, means we can offer advanced treatment plans like PRP therapy, designed to cut typical recovery time in half.
Accelerate Healing with Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy
PRP therapy is a cutting-edge, minimally invasive treatment made from your own blood. It contains up to 10 times more healing components than regular blood. PRP is injected directly into the injury site to accelerate natural tissue repair, particularly for tissues with poor blood supply that heal slowly on their own.
Faster Recovery:
Full recovery is expected in 3–6 months, compared to 6–12 months for traditional treatments like braces and physical therapy.
Safe and Natural:
The treatment uses your own blood, resulting in a low risk of side effects.
Targeted Healing:
PRP addresses the tendon damage itself, not just the symptoms of pain.

FAQ
Do I need an appointment or referral?
What do I need to bring to be seen at Southern Urgent Care?
You must have a current valid ID to be seen in our clinic. If you have insurance, we must have a legible copy of your insurance card. A current medication list will be helpful.
How long do I have to wait to be seen at Southern Urgent Care?
It is our goal to see patients within minutes of coming into our clinic. Most simple visits can usually be seen within 30 minutes and majority of patients will be finished and out the door within an hour or less. However, please remember that we are a walk-in facility and if we have several patients that come in within a few minutes of each other, you can expect longer wait times. We also give precedence to more emergent complaints such as, but not limited to, chest pain, shortness of breath, severe allergic reactions and lacerations. We work diligently to keep wait times to a minimum, but each day can be different. Our staff will inform you if there will be a wait and keep updating you accordingly. If you call ahead to check on the wait time, please remember that the current wait status when you call can change before you physically reach our facility.Â
Will Southern Urgent Care refill my regular everyday medications?
We offer refills for patients of our practice with the expectation that we see our patients in the clinic every three to six months to make sure they remain healthy. If you are not a patient of the practice, an office visit will be necessary.
Can I use Southern Urgent Care as my primary care provider?
We will gladly serve as a provider of primary care, especially given the lack of access to primary care in our community. If you are out of your medications and need them urgently, you can come in and be seen as a walk in. We bill as an urgent care clinic which necessitates some minor changes in our billing pattern for primary care services which we will gladly explain.
What if I don’t have insurance?
We offer discounted rates to all of our self-pay patients. Â
What types of payment are accepted?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, and cash.
What insurances do we accept?
We accept most all insurances, but you must contact the clinic or bring your insurance card in to see that we are in network with your plan. If our facility is not in network with your insurance, we offer all patients the option to be seen as a self-pay at a discounted rate.
What if my medical condition requires emergent care?
If you are at home and think you may be having a heart attack or having debilitating trouble breathing, we advise you to call 911 for an ambulance to transport you to the nearest hospital. If you are having symptoms that could possibly indicate a life-threatening event and are coming to our clinic, please let our staff know immediately. Emergencies take precedence over all patients in the clinic and providers will decide if your condition can be handled at our clinic or if we should send you to the hospital by ambulance.
